Hobbies:Reading, mostly history books; climbing whatever she can find to climb; cooking and experimenting; practicing with magic; talking, whether anyone is listening or not.
Personality: When Ayren first arrives in Kingdom Hearts in Traverse Town she comes across as rather spoilt, somewhat childish and a little brainless. Which is why Phoenix attaches herself to Ayren almost immediately, as she knows without a guide Ayren wouldn't last two minutes. In unfamiliar surroundings Ayren comes across quiet and shy, taking in everything she can, even if she doesn't understand it. She's unsure of where she is, and constantly worries about her home world and her father, who disappeared into a crowd of Heartless with thousands of other towns people. Later, in Kingdom Hearts II, Ayren has settled herself down in Hollow Bastion with the other original dwellers of that world. Although she has over the previous two years been studying book, after book to find ways of getting home, it has come to no avail, and she reluctantly is forced to admit defeat. Not something she enjoys doing. Though now with a group of people she knows around her, Ayren has become less bratty; she's more mature, though sometimes reverts to whining in order to get her way.

History

Ayren's up-bringing wasn't what one would called peaceful. Her home world, The Old Kingdom, was a world that thrived on the beliefs and teachings of old classes. At the age of sixteen, all teenagers would pick a job to go into, they would learn all that job had to teach and then after a time, advance into a higher level of the job. All jobs of the Old Kingdom fought against each other, a day didn't go by when one job wasn't in the midsts of a civil war with another job. Dark Knights against Knights; Black Belts against Ninjas, Black Mages locked in battle with White Mages. Even Sages and Evokers set against each other with their magic and summon spells.

Ayren's mother was a retired Devout disciple. She had been badly injured during one of the wars and was nursed back to health by Ineth, Ayren's father. Ineth wasa Dragoon Legionair. Unlike most classes, Dragoons didn't have a direct opposite to fight against, so were often "bought" as mercenaries. This applied to other classes, such as Geomancers, Red Mages and Bards.

Ayren was brought up in what attempted to be a normal home, though often she would read of the huge destruction the civil wars caused, and more what the magic and summons being used wrongly caused. This is where her hate of wrongly used magic spurned from. Her parents convinced her to stay a freelancer (a job that all teens were before having to make their choice) and not to make a descision on a job; but despite convincing her to remain inparticle to the battles, Ineth still taught Ayren the basics of weapon and magic use, so were she ever forced to fight, she;d have a basic knowledge.

This created a rift between Ineth and Gwenda; and shortly after Ayren turned eleven, Gwenda left and made no effort to contact Ineth or Ayren again. Because of his wife's sudden departure, Ineth gave up his leadership of the first Dragoon Legion in order to take care of Ayren. He taught her histories; and even helped her learn to cook as he also learnt this new skill. They bonded, and Ayren was often spoilt by her father in an attempt to make up for her lack of friends, siblings and mother.

The night the Heartless came to the Old Kingdom world, Ayren had been reading, as she often did. A large rumpous was heard nearby, and both Ineth and Ayren went to investigate. For the first time, all classes had forgotten their personal fueds and had banded together to fight off the Heartless. Ineth also joined in, ordering Ayren to stay in the house until he returned.

Ayren waited, and kept on waiting for hours. At one point, worn out by pacing, she fell asleep and then woke up, disorientated and alone, in Traverse Town.
