Family
Chase doesn't have a family in Nexus. At her descision to stay, the memory of her was wiped from all existance. The only family she really has are the Digimon, and in some ways, Gennai who acts as her council and mentor.

History
Chase originally witnessed the battle between Greymon and Parrotmon when visiting relatives in Odiaba. Her family lived in Kyoto, and later moved to Odiaba when Chase was seven-years-old. She was the youngest of two, her older sister Delta, being a few years older. When Chase was eleven, she and her family were rounded up, with many other people in the city by Myotismon and his minions, while they searched for the original seven children. And also while they looked for the eighth.

During this search, Sulcromon, who was one of Myotismon's workers, came across Chase in among the people. Though a vaccine Digimon, Sulcromon had worked under the virus Digimon since her Fresh stage. When when she met Chase, something in Sulcromon changed, and she decided to protect the girl from harm, though to anyone else, there was nothing special about Chase, Sulcromon felt a connection to her, and helped her and her family to escape, though they couldn't leave Odiaba; Sulcromon managed to get them far away enough from danger, so they would be safe. Not long after that, Sulcromon apprehended a DigiVice and a Crest that she knew Myotismon kept on his person. She took these to Chase; and her suspisions were confirmed when the DigiVice and Crest glowed when they neared her. Chase was another DigiDestined, but her time to act wasn't yet.

After Myotismon was defeated, Sulcromon stayed in the real world, disguising herself as a dog and spending most of her time indoors. She watched Chase grow up; and take on certain traits to her personality, that Sulcromon knew too well. Though Chase was completely unaware of how she was growing up. She was more focused on actually making it through Junior High and High School, without getting beaten up.

When she turned fifteen, Chase observed Davis, Yolei and Cody getting to the Digital World through a computer. She tried, taing Sulcromon with her; and found her way there. Though she did not land in the same place as Davis and they others, who were completely unaware of her presence. Instead, Chase was transported to an therwise invisble sector of the Digital World, called the Gaia. The Gaia was where Imperial Digimon resided, looking over the Digital World's going on, and decided what happened and when, by natural causes. At first they were all infuriated that a human had come to their layer; but then Azulongmon pointed out that the only humans who could get to the Gaia were Imperials themselves.

Azulongmon took Chase aside and explained to her that she was an Imperial DigiDestined. While the other Chosen Children came and went, Chase, as an Imperial was the remain and over look the Digital World with them. He explained that this was a rare occourance, and it was a title imposed upon very few. Chase was unsure, but she accepted the terms and offer to stay and care of the Digital World as an Imperial. Azulongmon announced this, and as he did, all memory of Chase was deleted in the real world from her family and friend's memories. She was taught the way of deplomacy and justice, how to tell right from wrong. Almost how to be a judge.

As time went on, Digimon adopted to calling Chase their Queen, or "Light", because of the way she behaved an acted, it was almost regal like. Hiortumon arrived on the scene, not long after Chase's descision to stay in the Digital World. Hiortumon had been attacked and badly hurt by a group of Gotsumon. Chase and Sulcromon had come across her, and though Sulcromon was unsure, they nursed her back to health. In gratitude, Hiortumon allowed Chase to be her Chosen Child "an honor among humans". Though peace reigned supreme in the Digital World for sometime, before the start of the Nexus, as the Kerosian layer became unstable, Chase took to dispose of the problem herself. In the same instance; she became a martyr.
