Firstly, thank you for agreeing to do this interview for Silver Star! If you'll start by telling us who you are. Real name or online alias is fine. :]
Angel Aiko (Chevi Restell)

1. How long would you say you've been cosplaying, at a guess?
Erm, I like to say since Amecon 2008 as it was my first hand made costume but I have done several ghetto cosplays before hand but alas cannot put a date on those!

2. What was it that made you interested in cosplay? Was it an outside influence, like friends? Or a natural course that occoured as you grew up?
Well first heard of cosplay through my Mana Belle obsession when I was 15 on the internet. But costumes and such have always been a big part of my life. Halloween and Birthday parties we're always a big deal at home and all of them being fancy dressed based. My mum made costumes like Cinderella to Chun Li as a kid.

3. What do you find you cosplay from mostly? Games? Anime? Manga? Disney? Do you crossplay? If so, who?
I guess I mainly cosplay from Anime but I'm getting more and more drawn to Disney cosplay. I wanna be Prince AbuAbu and a Blinging Ariel!

4. What are your favourite costumes to do? Colourful ones? Really complicated ones? And why?
Anything from Sailor Moon, seriously I cannot tell you how much fun it is! But other than Sailor Moon costumes I like being spacky female characters mainly because I can make a fool of myself and run about having fun. Also if I fall over I can claim I'm in character! I'm not fussed on complicated costumes I would rather have a simple silly one any day!

5. Do you like to cosplay alone, or like to be involved in groups? Or both?
GROUPS! seriously nothing better than cosplaying with friends or making new ones! Best Example I can give is each time I've worn my Nia Teppelin cosplays I've always been in a group and it was amazing laugh from being in the masquerade at Minami/May Expo to photoshoot with Princess Mark.

6. Do you have any dream cosplays or groups you'd like to do?
OH GOD! soo many but would have to say Eternal Sailor Moon or Queen Arshtat from Suikoden V. Eternal Sailor Moon due Sailor Moon being my favourite character and Stars being my favourite Season! With Queen Arshtat well without giving spoilers but her split personality intrigues me and she's so got a gold crown!

7. What would you say was the best thing about cosplaying, personally? And what would be your best experience to date?
Personally for me it's all about the socialising! I've met too many wonderful people and it's hard to keep up with every single one! My best experience is a hard one to choose because there is way too many! But I guess the times I first met some of my friends.

8. I know most people hate to do this, but out of the cosplays you've done, which ... three, say, are your favourites and why?
Both Nia Teppelin costumes (Younger and Anti Spiral) both times of these costumes I have had the best amount of fun in them! I can't explain what made these awesome but I think having Yoko pinch my butt, pulling frog face at Kamina and watching simon enter boys toilets without being noticed made it rather awesome.

Then has to be Super Sailor Moon, it was my first hand made costume and I was so proud of it at the time and I met alot of new people in this costume who now I call close friends. Also I made a girl squee which made my day!

9. For anyone looking to enter into the cosplay scene, what advice would you give?
To not be afraid of sewing needles and pierce the heavens with it! Well not literally! But yeah don't take it seriously just go forth and have fun! Cosplay the characters you love and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. And you must join cosplay island everybody is lovely and helpful there so you can get awesome tips and find great commissioners for wigs and such!
